Nearly 12 years in, Dennis Lege is still solving problems nobody else wants

The Director of Procurement and Fixed Operations has been building things at All-Pro since before there was a playbook for it.

When a subcontracted detail crew didn't show up on New Year's Eve during an All-Pro California startup, Dennis Lege called the owner, found the nearest auto parts store, and started a detailing division. That's not a story Dennis tells to impress anyone. It's just how things worked in the early days. That's still how he thinks about the job.

Dennis has been Director of Procurement and Fixed Operations at All-Pro Auto Reconditioning for nearly 12 years. Before that, he spent decades in dealership body shops, starting at 12 or 13 years old sweeping floors in his father's paint and body business and working his way up to management. By the time he reached All-Pro, he had overseen the build-out of a new dealership body shop from construction through equipment, eventually helping it become one of the top four Toyota-certified collision centers in the Gulf States region.

He didn't wait to be recruited. He called Brandon Berryman and Kyle Anderson directly and pushed until he got an interview.

All-Pro back then wasn't the structured organization it is today. It was smaller, fast-paced, and a lot of things had to get done on the fly. We would show up to a new market, and if something wasn't in place, we made it happen.

His role has grown alongside the company. What started as service drive consulting expanded into procurement, equipment setup, and operational logistics across every market All-Pro enters. During the pandemic, when trailers became nearly impossible to source, Dennis bought them when he found them, whether the company needed them immediately or not.

You can't say no — you just have to figure it out.

On the procurement side, that foresight is the whole job. Dennis manages a small team responsible for sourcing and staging equipment across new and existing markets. The decisions he makes months in advance determine whether a launch goes smoothly or falls apart on day one.

You have to anticipate and plan ahead. Now, we can see business coming and prepare for it, but in the early days, you had to just make things happen on short notice.

Outside All-Pro, Dennis competes in endurance cycling events, a shift from his earlier years as a dirt track racer. After back surgery, he started mountain biking for rehabilitation. Within a few years he had won a state championship. He also rides the SB250, a 250-mile charity event from McAllen to San Antonio that benefits the Susanna Smiles Foundation, which supports children with spina bifida.

Rolling into the finish line and seeing those kids cheering you on — that's what it's all about.

I plan on this being my last job. It's a great company, and I'm proud to be a part of it.
