Jason Surzyn manages 40-plus managers across the country. His approach starts with knowing what makes each one tick.

As Director of Operations, he keeps a national field structure producing, not through systems alone, but through people.

Jason Surzyn, Director of Operations at All-Pro Auto Reconditioning

Jason Surzyn oversees more than 40 area and production managers at All-Pro Auto Reconditioning, along with the district managers above them and the home office teams that support them all. As Director of Operations, his job is to keep that whole structure producing, consistently, across markets that don't look anything alike.

He has been at this long enough to know that consistency doesn't come from systems alone.

I've learned what makes each of them tick.

Jason Surzyn

That knowledge is what he actually manages. Not just timelines and output, but the people responsible for them. His case for All-Pro's Single Vendor Solution is grounded in the same logic. Dealerships that work with multiple reconditioning vendors spend significant time managing the handoffs between them: scheduling, communication, accountability. When one vendor handles the full process, those gaps close.

Having one vendor for multiple services eliminates communication breakdowns and ensures a smoother operation.

Jason's approach to leadership tends toward the direct. He expects his managers to be self-directed.

You've got to be self-motivated. If you don't know how to manage your time, you're not going to make it.

He mentored Trey Watson through the process of taking over as a district manager, walking him through the systems Jason had built for tracking revenue, billing accuracy, and follow-through. That transition worked because the systems were transferable, and because Watson had been trained to own them, not just use them.

That positive outlook tends to bring out more in people.

Outside work, Jason has spent 14 years as a state-certified soccer referee, a role that requires fast decisions in contested situations with no room to second-guess. He now watches Nashville SC games with his wife, but the refereeing background shows up in how he manages: quickly, with clarity, and without a lot of revisiting.

His goal for the current season is expanding All-Pro's partner base with the right accounts, not just more accounts.
