Mykel Crumb started as a posting clerk in 2017. He's been one of the most trusted people in the building ever since.

Eight years of consistency inside a company that grew around him.

Mykel Crumb, Senior Staff Accountant at All-Pro Auto Reconditioning

In 2017, Mykel Crumb walked into an All-Pro Auto Reconditioning home office of six people and took the most entry-level job available: posting payments received from customers. He knew the company was small. He took the role anyway.

I thought, this seems like a very small company, but I'm going to do my best. Even if I grow out of this role, at least it's a good opportunity to get exposed to a real-world situation.

Mykel Crumb

He didn't grow out of it. He grew with it. Today Mykel is a Senior Staff Accountant, a role he reached by moving from posting clerk to accounts receivable team lead, then to his current position overseeing broader financial operations for a company that now has over 1,400 field associates, a full floor of home office staff, and operations across 20+ states. The six-person office he walked into doesn't exist anymore. The culture he joined still does.

It's been an incredible privilege to watch Mykel grow from his role as an Accounts Receivable Analyst to one of the true pillars of our All-Pro home office. His journey is far from over — there's so much potential still ahead. On top of his professional success, Mykel is a devoted family man who balances his work and home life with unwavering care and commitment. You can always count on Mykel to show up to work with a smile and maybe a couple of thoughtful questions. He brings loyalty, trust, toughness, and so much more to everything he does.

Brett Boettcher, President of Operations

Mykel attributes the trajectory to one thing.

If you want to be someone people trust, always be consistent.

Not standout performance every quarter, but consistency, day after day. That's what built the track record the executive team now relies on. He applies the same standard when evaluating the people he hires. Skills matter, but they're not the whole picture.

If you want to succeed here, it's not just about your skills, it's about showing up every day ready to do your best. We want this person to want to be here. It's not about being perfect; it's about having the drive to improve and being consistent in your efforts.

The company's growth shows up in his office in a specific way: a set of die-cast models of the Hendrick Motorsports No. 24 car, which All-Pro sponsors in the NASCAR Cup Series. Mykel is a self-described car guy, and visiting the Hendrick Motorsports campus was, by his own account, something close to Disney World for him.

Outside work, he spends his time with his wife and daughter, keeps up with his yard, and wages an ongoing battle against the armadillos that keep digging it up.

Just stay consistent with what you do, and it'll work for your benefit. People value consistency over being the smartest person in the room.
